Moving to Godot 3 or 4.
It's been years since I post a devlog.
The last time I write devlog, Godot 3 was still in beta, now it almost in Godot 4.
Unfortunately the last project folder is Gone, so I redo the project in Godot 3 this time.
So while I use Godot 3, it will get more performance and feature than before.
It is not ready yet, so I will not upload the game here. But I already made a lot of progress:
- The character/player is now use root motion controller and animation. Here is the preview.
- The UI for Item and Shortcut is now in Final Asset. Here it in action.
- The UI for Skill and Shortcut is now in Final Asset. Here it in action.
- The Gameplay HUD also in Final Asset. Also the Dungeon for DEMO is ready. Here is the preview.
- Game Icon, game title, title screen also in Final Asset.
- The main character and pet design also is already Final.
Though a lot asset is already in Final. But we still need a lot of stuff. That is:
- The main character model is already been working on by the 3D Artist.
- The animations has not been made yet.
- The enemy also has not been made yet.
- Also sounds (BGM and SFX) also has not been made yet.
For the asset that have not been made will not be available any time soon, because I don't have enough budget to pay for it. It might though but will need more time, because now I also work in another game studio to save some fund to make the assets. So I thought that maybe you, the community can help me with this. I thought that I can make rewarded donation, like in kickstarter or indiegogo. But, because my country not available for it, I have to use another platform. But first I want to know what you think about this.
